The standard, LMP rolling chassis is as follows:

  1. TIG welded, CDS spaceframe, incorporating FIA standard roll hoop + bonded + riveted alloy panelling
  2. Unequal length, oval tube, double-wishbone, spherical jointed suspension arms
  3. Pushrod operated, twin-adjustable, coil-over dampers
  4. 4-pot, light alloy brake calipers front and rear, 280mm vented discs front, 230mm solid rears (discs mounted on alloy bells)
  5. Lightweight, alloy uprights, with shimmed steering arm and detachable caliper brackets
  6. Centre lock hubs (4 drive pins)
  7. Lightweight, ATS F3 13" alloy wheels
  8. Alloy, adjustable steering rack
  9. Adjustable pedal box
  10. Collapsible steering column with quick-release 300mm steering wheel
  11. Hewland FTR 6-speed sequential gearbox
  12. Radiator(s)
  13. Composite floor
  14. 7-piece glassfibre body (made with flame retardent phenolic resin in a gel-coat colour of your choice)
  15. Front splitter, rear diffuser, side skirts, twin element rear wing, vented arches
  16. FIA standard fuel tank and filler system
  17. FIA standard, Sabelt 6-point harness
  18. FIA standard Lifeline plumbed fire extinguisher
  19. Lightweight, re-inforced GRP seat
  20. AiM MXL display

When specified with a 4-cylinder Duratec or Honda V-Tec engine, the approximate dry weight is around 500kg. Adopting some of the options listed will ensure further weight savings.
